Tom Gasparrini: Battery Designer

Tom Gasparrini is an in-demand instructor in the marching percussion world. Currently a battery instructor at The Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps of Canton, Ohio and Rhythm X of Dayton, Ohio, Tom’s experience as a world-class teacher stems from his extensive performance history. Tom started his independent performance career as a snare drummer in the Connecticut Hurricanes Drum and Bugle Corps. From there he continued on to the twelve-time world champion drum corps The Cadets before finishing his drum corps career as the center snare of the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps. Mr. Gasparrini also was a performer in the world-class ensemble United Percussion and was a prominent performer and center snare of the highly successful percussion ensemble Rhythm X.

Since finishing his marching career in 2013, Tom has been serving as a battery instructor for both Rhythm X and The Bluecoats drumline. In addition to his work at The Bluecoats and Rhythm X, he is the percussion director at Bellbrook High School, and show designer/battery arranger for the European X indoor percussion ensemble based out of The Netherlands. Recently, Tom has also travelled to Seoul, Korea to preform with the Emmy Award winning theater show titled ‘Blast!’. Tom proudly endorses Innovative Percussion sticks and mallets, and Evans drum heads.
